Zushka's Bio
Zushka Biros, a passionate artist hailing from Bethel, CT, discovered her love for art at a young age. Influenced by her artist mother, Zushka began exploring the world of creativity at the tender age of 7, observing her mother's artistic process with wide-eyed wonder.
Recognizing her talent and potential, Zushka was enrolled in the summer arts program at the prestigious Wooster School in Danbury, CT at the age of 10. It was here that she found encouragement and guidance from her school art teacher, who nurtured her burgeoning artistic abilities. Drawn to the mesmerizing qualities of oils, Zushka found herself captivated by painting landscapes, particularly those found in Westport and New London, CT. Even at a young age, Zushka's talent did not go unnoticed. A perceptive art critic from New York City had the privilege of witnessing her artistic prowess firsthand while she was only 12 years old and still attending the Wooster School. This encounter expanded Zushka's creative horizons, solidifying her passion for abstract art. However, life took its course, and Zushka took a break from painting for an extended period of 35 years. It wasn't until the onset of the pandemic that she rekindled her artistic flame, returning to the world of paints and brushes. Now, Zushka's obsession knows no bounds, as she finds herself irresistibly drawn to painting everything from art pieces to people and even furniture. For the past 7 years, Zushka has maintained a dedicated studio in Jerome, AZ, where she channels her artistic energy and brings her visions to life. Her recent works have been showcased at notable venues such as the House of Joy in Jerome and the Biros-Schutz Studio at the Old Jerome High School, allowing art enthusiasts to witness the beauty and depth of her creations.
