Wow, what a summer this has been and there's still 10 days left. I'm taking a break between book signings, a much needed rest from my hectic schedule. A dip in the healing waters of Oak Creek in the beautiful city of Sedona, Arizona, is the perfect place for me to be today.
I've met some of the most extraordinary people during my Summer Book Signing Tour. A surprise interview by a reporter from NPR and a mention on the radio was awesome. I shared stories with tons of people with similar life-journies. Incredible connections were made between me and film makers, movie producers, script-writers and photographers at the Jerome Indie Film & Music Fair, which just happened to take place at the Jerome Art Center where my writing studio is located. I helped organizations and friends along the way, donating portions of my book sales to help out with their causes. Some of the best interactions were with people from the east coast, where I was born and raised. But the most astounding situations were with people whom I would have never come into contact with if it had not been for the timing of the events - those were the best of all. Although these are all wonderful things happening in my life, including the book sales, it can be overwhelming. Remembering to take care of myself first is important. How many of us start our day running at full-speed and don't seem to stop until we collapse at night to fall asleep? I was that person for decades. Time to recharge my batteries by doing nothing, which sometimes seems to be the hardest thing for me. I am most grateful for the experiences with all of you, and it's not over yet! More book signings are coming this fall. Check out my Buzz Page calendar - I'll be in Bisbee, Arizona, on Friday, October 13th (yes, "Friday the 13th") at Bisbee Books & Music, and at Goldenstein's Gallery in lovely Sedona for Artists Coffee Talk on Saturday, November 11th. I am taking the time necessary today for myself, to do absolutely nothing but relax, meditate, breathe and accept this amazingly beautiful, abundant and prosperous life. In love and gratitude ~ Zushka

I believe there is an exchange in everything we do. When I sit down at a restaurant, I expect to pay for my meal. When I go to a concert, or a movie, or a museum, I can’t get in without paying for a ticket. I see my writing the same way.
Writing is my life’s work, my passion. I put everything I have into each piece that I write. There is value in my work. I am providing something – my heart, my wisdoms, my thoughts and feelings. This is my passion and it is also my job. I would be so grateful if you would honor my work and support my craft. This way, I can keep writing and you can keep reading. Click here to donate a contribution There are lots of ways to support writers, musicians and artists. Go to their book signings, concerts and shows. Buy their books, CD's and artwork. Show up and encourage their efforts. It means so much to us. Reviews on amazon.com help a lot - write one. A good one. Thank you for your generosity. I wouldn’t be where I am without your readership and support. Peace, Zushka Hey Phoenix! I'll be in your neck of the woods this weekend. Stop by Jarrod's in Mesa Friday morning, or Cup O' Karma on Saturday (inside the Chandler Public Library). I would love to meet you and tell you a little about my story. Signed copies of The Secret Butterfly Trail are available for $20. A portion of each sale will be donated to help women in safe homes get job training and better their futures. Super psyched to see you all! I am grateful for your encouragement and support. See you soon. Join me as I revisit my roots at one of the many Starbucks stores I worked for back in the day. Starbucks @ The Hyatt in Uptown Sedona will be hosting my book signing on Saturday, August 26th. I will be reading a few pieces from my book, The Secret Butterfly Trail. Come hang out with me and buy my book. See you there!
I'll be hanging out on my way up to the airport on Saturday, September 2nd. Join me while I read a few pieces from my book, The Secret Butterfly Trail. Check out the oldest book store in Sedona. See you there!
After a long hiatus (3 years, to be exact) it's time for me to get back out there, into the public eye again. Plans are coming together, venues are being booked and I am looking forward to meeting all of you and telling you a little bit about my story.
The Secret Butterfly Trail is a nonfiction book, however the names and places have been changed to protect those who wish to remain anonymous. Come along as I take you on my journey through losing my house to foreclosure, moving to Michigan, the suicide of my ex-husband and how my life transformed in spite of the aftermath. My ordinary life is nothing less than a beautiful disaster, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Stay tuned to my Buzz Page and check out the calendar for up-coming Book Signings this summer. The Secret Butterfly Trail is available on amazon.com paperback, Kindle and Audible ; barnesandnoble.com Nook; iBooks digital and Audible; Kobo and Blio digital. |
